Jim Havens founded the law firm Havens Limited in 1981, building a legacy over four decades that focused the firm’s work on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, land use planning, sales financing, property leasing and succession planning. Known for innovation and efficiency, Jim hired attorneys and other staff members who had a strong political and forensic network throughout the state of Ohio.
In July 2025, Jim passed the reigns of Havens Limited to attorney Wesley Gilliland, who has worked for the firm for many years. Today, Jim’s extraordinary contributions are celebrated.
